Holy Rhythm Dance Studio — Dress Code

Purpose of Our Dress Code:

At Holy Rhythm Dance Studio, we honor God through excellence, discipline, and modesty. Our dress code promotes safety, unity, and confidence while encouraging dancers to present themselves in a way that glorifies Christ.

General Guidelines For All Dancers

Modesty first

  • All attire must provide appropriate coverage. Midriffs should not be visible. No see-through or overly tight clothing.
  • Hair secured: Hair must be neatly pulled back and away from the face for safety and focus.
  • No jewelry: For safety, no dangling earrings, necklaces, bracelets, or rings (small studs allowed).
  • Clean attire: Dancers should come in clean, well-kept uniforms.
  • Spirit & Behavior: Clothing should reflect respect and a Christ-like attitude. No inappropriate logos, wording, or images.

CLASS-SPECIFIC DRESS CODE

Lyrical 

Girls:
  • Solid-colored modest leotard or fitted dance top (no crop tops)
  • Footless or convertible tights
  • Dance shorts or leggings
  • Lyrical half-sole shoes or barefoot depending on choreography
Boys:
  • Fitted T-shirt or tank
  • Joggers, dance pants, or shorts (knee length)
  • Barefoot or lyrical shoes

Christian Hip Hop

  • Comfortable modest athletic wear
  • Loose-fitting joggers, sweats, or shorts (mid-thigh or longer)
  • T-shirt or tank that fully covers the torso
  • Clean sneakers reserved for studio use only
  • Hair pulled back

Worship / Praise Dance

  • Solid-colored modest leotard or praise top
  • Palazzo pants, worship skirt, or praise dress (as assigned)
  • Barefoot or lyrical shoes
  • Optional: Flags, streamers, or scarves (studio-provided)

Parent/ student expectations

  • All attire must be labeled with your dancer’s name.
  • Dancers should follow the dress code weekly.
  • Failure to follow dress code may result in observing, not participating, for safety reasons.
  • Respectful, Christ-like conduct is expected at all times.
